The new Poland "revolutionary" law takes the management of the municipal waste from the hands of the private sector and brings that to the municipalities.

Ecoparc de Barcelona is a facility dedicated to treatment of solid waste in the metropolitan Barcelona area.

The population of metropolitan Barcelona is responsible for the annual production of 1.6 million tonnes of solid waste (excluding industrial waste). Ecoparc de Barcelona treats approximately 12% of this waste.

From the 1st July 2011, Germany takes over the one year rotative presidency of the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS). The opportunity will be used to promote the Baltic Sea Region project "RECO Baltic 21 Tech" and its activities. Details on CBSS can be seen at: www.cbss.org.
